lxplus logins are failing

Incident Description: 

Logins to lxplus are currently slow to the point of impossible.

Although logins are restored all of lxplus is being rebooted now to clear 1000s of accumulated processes.

lxplus has reached a state where it must be cleared out of processes not correctly talking to the authentication services.

To do this lxplus will be rebooted with only 4 hours notice per node.

The situation is hopefully better now though this will be confirmed shortly.
