We need to perform a hardware intervention on a Dell Blade enclosure that contains several hosts serving several Databases. The list of databases is the following:
- TIM
- ZORA
- SUSI
- Accelerator Controls
- ENCVORCL
- ENIAAR
These databases, run on a cluster except ENIAAR (single host).
Only one of the hosts of these clusters is affected by the enclosure intervention.
The intervention is supposed to be transparent, it has been done on other Blade enclosures and it worked ok. However, in the worst case, the host will reset and reboot.
This means that clients connecting to that host, will fail-over to the second node (not touched by the intervention).
Exceptions are : ENIAAR (single host), ENCVORCL (the client application can not reconnect by itself).
All the other database clients can fail-over correctly.
Hardware related.
