Description of Service Change:
The "file update" feature on CASTORPUBLIC will be suppressed as of March 25th.
The files will therefore be immutable. An update of a file will generate a new file in the system.
Reason for this change:
File update feature is barely used, statistics show one in a million cases. Dropping this possibility simplifies the storage behavior and improve consistency inside CASTOR. The closure of updates starts in CASTORPUBLIC and will be extended across all CASTOR instances.
