Indico will be upgraded to a new version this Friday 8th of March.

The service will need to be interrupted for a few hours due to a migration process.

This new version will bring new features and improvements in the already existing ones. Some of the most important features are:

VideoServices:

• When adding a new Vidyo room, if it does exist and the user owns it, Indico suggests to attach it to the event.
• Cloning vidyo services managers when cloning an event. 
• Integrated WebEx (used in ILCAgenda)

Room booking:

• Set daily availability per room: e.g. This room can be only booked from 8h30 to 17h30.
• HTTP API: adding book a room

Events:

• Call for abstracts:
  • allow track coordinators to directly accept-reject abstracts (before they could only propose)
  • added option to change a rejected abstract back to 'submitted' status.
• List of Abstracts:
  • new layout for the list of abstracts, new tool bar and filters.
  • added 'sort by modification date' and 'sort by track'
• Timetable:
  • when adding/editing a contribution, we can grant/revoke submission rights to speakers individually. See little icon-shield.
  • contribution modification is now a popup (the only one that was missing).
• Participants: option to notify managers when a new participant applies.
• Conference support field: added phone number (before only e-mail address) and re-designed using icomoon.
• New UI for:
  • Poster/Badges
  • Conference/List
  • Conference overview
  • Warning pages: lock, delete, etc
  • Scientific programme
• Protection: in the event protection page, warnings will be displayed if there are items inside it (contribs, sessions, materials) with a different protection.
• Outlook plugin: participants and registrants will see the event in their outlook calendar.

General:

• When adding a new category manager, an email is triggered to all the other managers (optional)
• Search has been pluginized and added CERN Search. 
• HTTP API: added action to download files.
• Scheduler and Livesync have been tuned up and optimized.
• Using memcached.
