Description of Service Change:
The e-mail Public Folders will be decommissioned during the coming weeks.
This will end the support of Outlook 2003 on the e-mail system (not supported at CERN since September 2011).
This process will take 5 weeks with the following schedule:
- March 4th: The offline address book (OAB) won't be published anymore to Public Folders (Outlook 2003 won't be able to download the OAB, but still read and receive email messages);
- March 11th until March 25th: Public Folders databases will be deleted (Outlook 2003 will fail to start with the error: Your Exchange Server administrator has blocked the version of Outlook that you are using.);
- April 1st: removal of remaining components;
The CERN SPAM Report add-in won’t be supported as well, thus we recommend owners of locally managed computers to uninstall the add-in. To report SPAM use the recipe available on MMM Help Pages.
