Description of Service Change:
The default version of NTLM protocol will be changed to NTLMv2 on centrally managed Windows XP PCs at CERN.
Users of locally managed Windows PCs will be provided with procedures on how to do the same on locally managed computers.
Any other user running their own Windows XP or 2003 installation are asked to consult the recommendations of Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793313.

Security vulerability of NTLM protocl prior to NTLMv2
