This news is for the IT SSB contributors who have the rights to post articles in the IT SSB (i.e. mainly IT service owners, SNOW functional managers and IT support staff).

The new version of the IT catalogue (Service Area = IT Services) has been integrated in the IT SSB for the list of values proposed for the parameter “Service Element Affected”. This parameter shall be filled-in with the correct “Service Element” related to the SSB article. If you are not sure of which element to use we invite you to check the Service Portal.

Please note: future plans are to re-design the SSB and to implement it with Service-NOW such that it is directly interfaced with the catalogue. With the current Drupal implementation we have to copy the Service Elements to provide the list. Unfortunately it is difficult in Drupal to change the list and the easiest solution was to add the new list at the top. Therefore you will notice that the previous list items are still visible in the menu but it is clearly stated that those items are deprecated and should not be selected. Valid items that can be selected are at the top and it stops at the special line ----END---.
