Upgrade Operating System on Nas controllers at Safehost.

Description: 

As recommended by Netapp support, 2 Nas clusters at Safe host will be upgraded to latest firmware and specific OS version.

The intervention is expected to be transparent but due to its nature databases and application services are at risk. Therefore ALL AIS databases will be stopped and relevant AIS services will be unavailable during the intervention window, in order to avoid data inconsistency. Other databases, which will not be stopped, might lose the user's sessions and a downtime of about 30 minutes depending on services may occur.

Databases/services affected:

 * All DBoD databases including Drupal,

 * AIS databases (http://sls.cern.ch/sls/service.php?id=DB_AIS)  are affected (indicated by their tnsnames):  ertt,  payp, ertd, edh_service_prod, aisdb_prod,  wcernp,  ertp , baan6p

 * AIS application servers: OracleHR DEV/TEST/PROD, Qualiac PROD, Kitry PROD, Aisbatch PROD, EDH Workflow DEV

 

 

 

 

 

Specific Service Detail: 
AIS application servers: OracleHR DEV/TEST/PROD, Qualiac PROD, Kitry PROD, Aisbatch PROD, EDH Workflow DEV, DBOD as said in the description are also impacted.

Intervention is over. Storage has been successfully upgraded. All db services that were stopped are either running again or being started. Intervention was transparent for database or application services that were not stopped. We have detected one dbod instance copvss that went down for about 5 minutes. We are researching the root cause. Thanks to all people involved for your cooperation!
