Removal of Oracle Client tools in AFS and change of default version

We are going to proceed to clean up all the no longer supported Oracle client software releases that are currently
available in our AFS (/afs/cern.ch/project/oracle/...) area.

The plan is the following :

1) We shall block access to all the existing Oracle clients tools for Solaris.

2) For Linux 32 bits clients

        - Block access to 10.2.0.1, 10.2.0.3,10.2.0.4 and 11.2.0.1

3) For Linux64 bits clients

        - Block access to 9.2.0.8, 10.2.0.2, 10.2.0.4 and 11.2.0.2

The releases that will remain available are the following

1) For Linux 32bits clients   10.2.0.5 and 11.2.0.3

2) For Linux 64 bits clients  10.2.0.5 and 11.2.0.3

This will force a change in the (current) default version (10.2.0.4). The new default will be 10.2.0.5. 

This default will be reviewed again once the upgrade to Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.3) across all the databases at CERN end.

These changes will affect only those users that read the Oracle client software from AFS. It will not affect Oracle Instant Client installations in local machines.
