Service-Now upgrade to a new release

Description of Service Change:

The CERN instance for Service-Now software (SNOW) has been ugraded to a new  release (codename: Aspen) on Sunday February 19.

The new instance has been extensively tested and this service change should be, apart from bug fixes, transparent for users of this software.

This release fixes a lot of known problems that CERN had reported to Service-Now.

Update on 22/02:

On Wednesday February 22, a bug was discovered at CERN for text area resize:

  • read-only text areas cannot be resized
  • when someone saves a ticket all newlines are removed from read-only text areas

A fix has been provided by Service-Now and, currently, the official date scheduled to ask Service-Now to deploy this patch in production is March 1st, but it is possible that it will be done earlier (if so we will update this article and mofify the planned intervention date). See:
