Upgrade of WMS servers to EMI-1

Description of Service Change:

The CERN WMS (Workload Management System) service is undergoing migration to version 3.3.4 (EMI-1 release).

The WMS configuration files of the AFS UI commonly used to submit grid jobs will be updated according to the following schedule:

Monday 23 Jan 2012: new WMS servers will be added to the AFS UI configuration files, alongside the current WMS servers running gLite (version 3.1)
Monday 6 Feb 2012: the old WMS servers running gLite will be removed from the AFS UI configuration files, leaving only the new servers

VO users not using the AFS UI or their experiment's framework are invited to update their UI configuration files manually, specifying the following load-balanced DNS aliases as endpoints:

CMS VO: wmscms.cern.ch
SAM monitoring: wmssam.cern.ch
All other VOs: wmsshared.cern.ch

The old WMS servers (wms2xx) running gLite v3.1 will stop accepting new job submissions on Tuesday 6 Mar 2012.

Please make sure to use gLite UI v3.2.x when submitting jobs via the new servers. The gLite UI version 3.1 is not supported anymore (cf. http://glite.cern.ch/support_calendar/) and will result in the error "Unable to find any endpoint where to perform service request"

Reason for this change:

Support for gLite-WMS 3.1 ends in April 2012 (http://glite.cern.ch/support_calendar/)
